Golf Tournament
The Michael E. McCarthy Golf Tournament is a fundraiser held annually in honor of Mike McCarthy to support the scholarship fund. However, it has evolved to become so much more. The event has become an annual reunion of sorts drawing together all of those who touched Mike’s life and all of those whom Mike touched as well. It has become a tribute to how extended a family can become due to the support of a community. It is a time to look forward to seeing friends, classmates, neighbors, former students, and teachers. The common thread here is Mike McCarthy. As the circle grows we invite you to join us. Some of our past scholarship recipients and their family members have done just that.
Stay tuned for updates on the annual golf tournament!

The Michael E. McCarthy Scholarship Fund is a non-profit organization that works to provide scholarship opportunities to seniors attending Middletown and Tiverton High Schools and students attending Stonehill College. Currently five scholarships are given out each year. Mike was a special needs teacher, assistant football coach, and baseball coach at Tiverton High School and a graduate of Middletown High School where he participated in football, basketball, and baseball. Mike’s family and friends work to remember him by encouraging students and providing them with financial support to convey the message that they are worth the investment.
